Hakone Lake Hotel

Overall it was good sized with massage chairs...

I booked this relaxing hotel for christmas, had an excellent stay, its location was perfect right next to a forest.

Really enjoyable stay, no complaints whatsoever.

Newly remodelled and reasonably priced place with an awesome view. A nice size and well-appointed room with Japanese decor. Attentive staff and management. Lots of savoury options for meal. Quiet and top location, fantastic area. Near a bus station, easy to get around.

The japanese-style room room included central heating, a safe and TV, we were happy about that. Location: the hotel was so close to the Hakone bus transport and tourist sites and other attractions in Hakone.

The traditional Japanese room was cozy, although I found the accessibility of public transportation a bit limited in the evening, leading to a taxi ride back.

I enjoyed the onsen and found it very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The western-style room provided a great view of the mountains, which I appreciated as an Italian who loves nature. I also liked the tea and cookies they offered in our room.

The bathroom was a bit worn and could use some attention. The overall price felt a bit steep for what was offered.

This place suits me perfectly. It has great wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a cozy restaurant. The staff helped me find my way on my first visit, and they are always polite. Definitely a romantic escape waiting!

The Lake offers a unique authentic Japanese onsen experience, with clean facilities and a serene atmosphere. The breakfast buffet featured high-quality items including freshly baked pastries. The staff were accommodating and provided assistance with dining options.

Absence of hairdryers in the rooms is inconvenient!!! The lack of nearby convenience stores makes it tough to grab essentials!!! A noticeable air of neglect in cleaning standards, especially in damp areas!!!

Authentic and Nice Onsen Experience

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The traditional Japanese atmosphere was inviting, and the onsen facilities both indoor and outdoor provided a relaxing retreat after exploring the area. The dinner was a delight, offering an array of flavors that showcased Japanese cuisine. The location by Lake Ashi is perfect for scenic views and easy access to local attractions, though the hotel could benefit from more nearby dining options.

Our room was dusty, and the air conditioning didn't work well at all. The limited shared toilet facilities were a real hassle. Two toilets for the entire second floor is clearly insufficient. We were also misled about dining options outside. The staff made it sound impossible to find nearby restaurants, but we easily accessed several within a short bus ride.

Dinner was an absolute delight. The mix of flavors made it a culinary adventure! Plus, the onsen was a real treat-perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The family room offered a cozy fusion of western comfort and traditional tatami style, which the teens adored!

It was just an appropriate option for a couple of nights in Hakone with good price value. The views from the area were fine, especially during the mixed weather. Make sure to plan your meals ahead since there aren't many nearby places to eat.
